Sublimation in Two
Dimensions
The photographs to the left show the time evolution of a sublimating crystal in two dimensions. This sublimation is described in a 2006 paper by *****. In two dimensions this is a two step process. First there is a loss of order on the edges of the crystal forming a transient liquid state. Then, particles begin to sublimate from the transient liquid state. |
