Soft Matter Physics

Sorensen's research: 1) graphene synthesis via a proprietary explosion method including variants, applications and scale up to industrial proportions thereof; 2) experimental and theoretical studies of light scattering by particles of arbitrary size and shape; 3) aggregation and gelation kinetics in aerosols and colloids, fractal aggregate properties.
