Results and Simulations
Growth Rate vs Concentration results (below) support
what was expected out of this system. It begins by linearly increasing with
concentration, reaches a maximum then decreases in growth rate.
It was of interest to explore
the geometry of the growth as the simulation runs on kinked and nonkinked site. A pictorial representation of kinked and nonkinked sites precedes the data.
I was able to gather some
initial data on these sites and gather data on growth rate simultaneously.
It was interesting to see
that well bonded kink sites scale with the growth rate. However, past the
systems peak growth, good kink binds seem to be leveling off. More work on this
is certainly warranted and encouraged.
