Eight years passed since the discovery of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider. We continue improving measurements of its properties, the mass, the couplings to fermions towards better understanding generation of fermion masses. We are also improving our reach in exploring possible scenarios beyond the Standard Model. In this talk I will describe the current 'state of things', and our steps forward to improve the tools for deeper exploration of the energy frontier via upgrading the detector instrumentation in preparation for the high-luminosity proton-proton collisions and our possible future avenues beyond the LHC.
