Using isolated attosecond pulses in the soft x-ray regime, an array of dynamical processes is studied using attosecond transient absorption (ATA) and non-linear four wave mixing. Examples using ATA include attosecond photochemistry of small molecules and electron/hole dynamics in semiconductors. Wavepacket dynamics in atoms and molecules induced by soft x-ray pulses are investigated using four-wave mixing.
