Planck collaboration has released in March of 2013 cosmological results of the analysis of measurements of cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy acquired during the 15.5 months of the mission since Aug. 2009.  I will describe Planck instruments, execution of the mission, characterization of the multifrequency measurements of the microwave sky, and general aspects of the astrophysical and cosmological interpretation thereof. Finally, I will review the recently published cosmological results of Planck.
