I grew up in Central Texas (just outside Austin) and attended Texas A&M University where I received my BS in Biology and my MS in Biotechnology. From there I went to work as an Associate Scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center researching cancer biology and genomics. I was previously an adjunct faculty member at Central Texas College and taught college level biology as well as high school science. I enjoyed working with students at the higher level and decided to go back to school and work on my MS in Academic Advising through KState (online).
