Physics Education Research

The K-State Physics Education Research Group (K-SUPER) investigates how students learn physics, how to help faculty teach better, and how to support emerging researchers at all levels as they learn how to do research and become members of the research community. Our research includes qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches.

K-SUPER in one of the oldest education programs located in a US Department of Physics. It was established in 1972 with the appointment of Dean Zollman to a tenure track position in physics. Dean officially retired in 2016, but remains involved in the program.
