Week Two:

Fortran Training

Weekly Reports:

   The readings I was given to complete were deceiving in that they seemed simple enough. I had all of my questions filled in the following week since Dr. Esry had gone out of town to the DAMOP conference. I did some playing around with spherical harmonics in Mathematica to get started on the programming assignment I had been given. This was done to help me understand the assignment more fully before I was to write the program in Fortran. I eventually did get around to learning some Fortran and doing some programming with it. Hopefully, I will be able to post a detailed summary of what it was exactly that I did (in physical, not encoded terms.) This will probably come in the form of Mathematica Notebooks for which you can download the free reader/"player" at one of Wolfram's websites; here
