Physics to Participate in K-State Open House April 7

The Physics Department invites everyone to join us in a variety of activities we will be hosting during K-State's Open House on Saturday, April 7, from 9 am - 3 pm on the Manhattan campus.

Find our booth in the K-State Student Union and see physics toys, make a bracelet that senses UV light, and discuss our degree programs and research areas.

Stop by Cardwell Hall, where you can get hands-on with some of our user-friendly demonstrations.

At 12:30 p.m., stop by 103 Cardwell Hall to witness our favorite physics demonstrations.

Curious about the Cosmos? Then come for an exciting, mind expanding, talk (and demonstrations!) about the expansion of the Universe, dark matter, and dark energy, at 10:00 a.m. in Cardwell Hall 102. Dr. Bharat Ratra will talk about "The Accelerating Expanding Universe: Dark Matter, Dark Energy & Einstein's Cosmological Constant." This will be a non-technical talk.

There will also be some behind the scenes lab tours available.

Print a poster that you can share below. If you would like any additional information, please contact us at 785-532-6786.

We hope that many will be able to join us and the rest of the K-State community for an exciting day on campus.
