Wilson selected as 2017 Ultrafast Optics XI Conference poster award winner

Derrek WIlsonDerrek Wilson, doctoral student in physics, was selected as the 2017 Ultrafast Optics XI Conference award winner in the Ultrafast Optical Phenomena Technical Group Outstanding Poster Presentation Award.

Wilson presented his poster "Generating few-cycle pulses in the long wave infrared for use in strong field science," at the 2017 Ultrafast Optics XI Conference in Jackson, Wyoming, October 8-13.

The conference recognized Wilson's high quality poster presentation with a certificate as well as a monetary prize.

Wilson is a PhD candidate in physics working in the James R. Macdonald Laboratory with his advisers, Carlos Trallero and Artem Rudenko, associate professors of physics.
