Abstract
Science is not only about significance — it is also driven by curiosity and the joy of discovery. In this colloquium, I will present several fascinating findings from the establishment of the attosecond laboratory at JRML. These phenomena include laser-induced acoustic waves, molecular fluorescence, and air lasing. We investigated their underlying mechanisms and developed several powerful techniques based on these intriguing effects.
