Services
To submit a job customers within the physics department need to bring to the shop their technical drawing, blueprints, or item they would like the shop to repair, and they will be billed directly by the physics department. Customers from outside the physics department will also need to bring an interdepartmental requisition with them. Once that requisition is received, they will be put on the job list for processing.
The regular labor rate is $60.00 per hour (as of July 2006). Emergency jobs which require immediate attention will be charged double the regular labor rate. Work is sometimes performed for customers outside the university, and is charged a different labor rate.
