Brief Bio: Born in Changhua, Taiwan, in 1946;
Bachelor degree from National Taiwan University in 1969.
Received PhD from University of Chicago in 1974;
Postdoc at Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, 1974-76;
Has been at Kansas State University since 1976.
University Distinguished Professor since 1990.
