Postdoctoral Research Associate
Physics Department of Kansas State University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in experimental high-energy physics with CMS experiment at the LHC. Kansas State group is playing a leading role in pursuing CMS data analyses in standard model and exotica groups as well as working on CMS pixel upgrade and CMS ECAL detector.
Candidates should have Ph.D. in physics by the date of appointment and be able to perform an independent particle physics research as well as having a capability to mentor students. The position is based primarily at the LHC Physics Center (LPC) at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, but opportunities exist for frequent and long-term visits at CERN. The successful candidate is expected to play a significant role in physics analyses, contribute to the running of the experiment, and mentor a graduate student.
