Thank you for participating in this important workshop.  Below you will find helpful information for planning your trip to Manhattan and making the most of your stay.  Please contact us with questions regarding your travel. 

Traveling to Manhattan

Please make your own airline or car travel arrangements.  The two most likely airports to use are Kansas City (Missouri) International (MCI), just over 2 hours drive away, and the Manhattan airport (MHK), a 15 min drive away, but with only 3 flights per day.  If you fly into KCI, you will probably need to rent a car.  We can help pair people up for carpools so not everyone has to drive, if flight times work out well.  Alternately, we can easily pick you up at the airport if you are able to fly into Manhattan.  

Hotel Information

We ask that you make your own hotel reservations, and suggest the Holiday Inn, where we have reserved a block of rooms for Fri and Sat nights at $99.95.  Just mention the ADVANCE Workshop on Women in Science to secure the rate.  This rate is guaranteed until 1/15/08.
