Workshop on Women in Science and Engineering

Friday & Saturday
February 15-16, 2008

Photo Gallery

This exciting workshop will lay out the challenges facing women in science, technology, and engineering (STEM) disciplines and the many successful strategies that individuals and institutions have implemented, while exploring issues that require further creative solutions.  Our goals are to raise awareness at Kansas State University among faculty and students in science and engineering disciplines of the challenges that lead to underrepresentation of women and the growing body of knowledge on strategies to alleviate that situation.  The day will feature a poster session highlighting the important scientific contributions of female graduate students on our campus.  We also invite students in our Women's Studies department to document the careers and life stories of the successful women scientists participating in this workshop.
