Corn Dogs
1/2 c yellow corn meal
1 c masarepa
2 c boiling water
1 pkg active yeast
1 tsp salt
hot dogs

Put the corn meal in a bowl and mix with a few Tbs. of cold water to wet the meal. Then pour in the boiling water and stir to break up any lumps. Set this aside and let it cool until only warm. Mix in the yeast, salt, and masarepa. Put the dough in a warm place for about 1/2 hour until it has risen noticeably. Run a skewer through each hot dog. Knead a ball of dough about two inches in diameter, then spread it out on a piece of plastic wrap. Roll a dog into the dough. Wrap the plastic around the dog and roll it across the counter to form a nice shape. Deep fry the corn dogs in oil until the case is golden brown.
