REVIEW QUESTIONS OF Home Work 16

R26.13. Speed of light, c = frequency x wavelength.

EXCERISES OF Home Work 16

E26.4. Radio waves have a longer wavelength than light, which in turn have a longer wavelength than X rays.

E26.5. Ultraviolet light has a shorter wavelength (l) and higher frequency (recall f = c/l) than infrared light

E26.10. Sound requires a physical medium to travel in. Light can travel through a vacuum, for example, the space between the Sun and the Earth is an excellent vacuum.

E26.11. Radio waves travel at the speed of light.

E26.13. Radio waves and light are both “electromagnetic waves” which travel at the speed of light.  Radio waves have a much larger wavelength and smaller frequency than light.
