The realization that empty space probably
contains most of the energy in our observable universe has dramatically changed
not only our current picture of cosmology, but also our thinking about a wide
variety of topics ranging from the future of life and computation in the
universe and the future evolution of structure, to the nature of fundamental
physical laws and the anthropic principle. I will discuss these issues.
